The green leaved form of the more common "black grass". Lavender-purple flowers followed by darkest green berries to 15cm. Good evergreen groundcover, even in quite dry shade.

A better alternative to the often requested Ophiopogon japonicus for growing here in eastern England where this species is generally more a better bet.
