Largish pale sky blue flowers on this lovely form of Wood Anemone. One of the more vigorous forms with bigger flowers than most blues. Reasonable soil in shade or part shade. 15cm.
'Celestial' is a form we have had for several years now and it always seems to do well. It will settle in and produce a good display of flowers more quickly than some varieties tend to.
Ideal for a shady woodland type border though it will be happy in any seasonally shady place (not under next doors yew tree!). Anemone nemorosa 'Celestial' will emerge in late winter and flower in March and April before going dormant again in midsummer.
Probably an old variety like 'Allenii'.
